“La Capezzagna” is an italian word which describes a small country road next to an agritourism. It all started in 1992, with lots of ideas, passion and love. After work and training experiences in the agricultural sector, Mauro and Sandra began to dedicate themselves to the renovation of the building and crops.
“La Capezzagna” stands on a spot of the hill called “Taraborrelli”, once owned by Sandra’s grandparents and great-grandparents. They bought the property around ‘900 from mister Marcone. Attached to the building there was a tower, the highest in the valley, a small manor later blasted during the war, in 1943/1944, with seven mines.
Using the remains of the explosion, the Taraborrelli, since always devoted to this life, rebuilt nine houses for the sharecroppers, who used to cultivate their land. One of these houses is now “La Capezzagna”: a little holiday farm focused on the production of high-quality grapes used for important wines and on hospitality for their guests, housed in small suites. The farm has a surface of approximately 15 hectares, planted with specialized espalier and pergola vineyards, olive grove and vegetable garden for familiar and agritouristic usage. The central position, in proximity of Abruzzo’s most interesting and accessible locations, makes the holiday farm a point of reference and relaxation in comfortable accommodations, with rustic furniture, pampered like at home.
The structure consists of two buildings, one intended for accommodating hospitality in different independent units, all with their own entrance, and the other used for catering, meetings, and events. It is fit to receive up to 10 people in four independent units with their own entrance. The building is divided into two levels: the ground floor is destined for the guests; the first floor is intended for the owners’ home.
Everything suggests a great passion for small things such as eating or sitting next to the fireplace, like old times, pampered by the courtesy of Sandra and Mauro, who are happy to welcome you into their agritourism. There is a small garden surrounding the structure and the products the farm can offer are of the highest quality.
People come here to rest, to eat and drink well, but also to enjoy the beauty of Abruzzo, the green region of Europe.
The structure is:
– 4 km from the 18-hole golf course “Miglianico Country Club”;
– 7 km from the trabocchi coast, with its 42 km long cycle-pedestrian greenway path close to the sea;
– 7 km from the golden sandy beaches overlooking the Adriatic Sea. Free use of the beach service at the beach property;
– 25 km from the Eastern Majella ski slopes.
Our guests can participate to local activities or they can take part in guided excursions to explore, for example, fascinating places such as the Hermitage of San Bartolomeo in Roccamorice (36 km away) or the Hermitage of Santo Spirito in Serramonacesca (37 km away).
We also recommend the San Giovanni waterfall in Bocca di Valle (27 km away).
